About Headwaters

Headwaters Stops The 413 is a group of concerned citizens who live in Caledon & Dufferin. We came together as a citizens' group in 2023 to protect the Greenbelt as part of the "Keep Your Greenbelt Promise" campaign when the Greenbelt was under threat of development by changes to its protected status by the Ford government.

 

Our work continues as Headwaters Stops the 413 because building the proposed Highway 413 is a clear threat to the Greenbelt. We plan to ensure that the 413 isn't built to maintain the vibrancy of local communities, protect farmland, waterways, woodlots and fragile ecosystems which house threatened and endangered species.  It is critical that this land remains intact and viable for future generations to benefit from and enjoy.
